"Why are we shopping?" Loki asked as he and Natasha walked around a local Walmart.

"Because everyone had a hankering for snacks. Let's give them some," Natasha said as she handed Loki a bag of Snickers bars. He almost dropped it, but he managed to grab hold and then he tucked it under his arm. Natasha turned a corner and found the liquor section. "What do you think? Would Sigyn drink some mixed beverages or should we get something easy to start her off with?" Loki's brow furrowed at her question like it was an insult. Natasha made a face and waited for his explanation.

"My wife has drunk heartier drinks and Asgardian mead. She can handle the worst beverage you can concoct. What is strong?" Loki asked as he reached into a freezer. He pulled out a bottle of Strawberry Rum, and handed that to Natasha.

"You want strong? I'll give you strong!" she said as she pulled an Almond Whiskey. Loki grinned but that was when his cellphone went off. Natasha juggled the whiskey for a moment as Loki pulled it out and answered it.

"Hello? Thor? Yes, I'm out of the tower, I'm shopping with Natasha. What are we getting? I thought you all wanted snacks?" Loki asked. Natasha felt her heart skip a beat. If anyone of them was a poor liar, it was Thor. Steve was a very close second. Loki's expressions suddenly changed and he hung up. He turned to Natasha, a look of curious mischief playing upon his handsome features. "Why are we here, Widow?" he asked, walking up to her and forcing her back against the glass freezers.

"We're shopping?" It was more of a suggestion than a statement. Loki turned around and quickly went to the register. The girl was awe of him, and so, took a long time in checking out his groceries. Natasha was right behind him, hoping that he would not teleport home the moment he had paid. When she stepped outside, Loki was standing there waiting for her.

"I take it as you want to drive?" Loki asked, tapping his foot on the sidewalk. Natasha nodded and they quickly got into the car. Loki held the bags as Natasha drove. He said nothing to her, but Natasha could tell that he was not angry. The angry Loki always had a particular flare and style. The curious Loki (who was resisting the urge to read Natasha's mind) was the one sitting beside her. He stared straight ahead, and waiting patiently, drumming his fingers on his thigh. Every tap matched a heart beat in Natasha's chest.
