Sigyn breathed in deeply and removed Loki's hand from her chin and put it over her belly. Loki's eyes softened before he pulled her in and kissed her on the lips. "I'm very glad," was all he said when he separated. Sigyn raised her eyebrow before she quickly looked around the table. The Avengers shrugged their shoulders and looked at the God of Mischief. "I'm not stupid. I could tell everyone was hiding something, but I was the only one who was not in the loop. What was so important that you could tell everyone but not me? We've had this before, Sigyn. I knew. I just wanted you to do it of your own accord," Loki told her, stroking her cheek. Sigyn laughed, remembering how nervous she had been on telling him the first time.
"What if it's a boy?" she asked right then and there. Loki cocked his head to one side, a twinkle appearing in his eyes, and a smirk on his face.
"Then I'll be very happy to teach him how to be just like me," Loki responded.
"NO!" Thor exclaimed. "If you do that, he'll turn me into a squirrel!" Everyone paused for a moment, before they started laughing.
"Hell, what was I supposed to do? You wouldn't shut up," Loki pointed out dryly. Thor huffed and leaned back. Of course, now that they knew that Loki had turned Thor into a squirrel, they had to know under what circumstances. Loki told the tale, trying not to embellish it too much. But, the amusement he got out of it, made him tell another one. Loki also told them about the day he turned Thor into a donkey. That was popular with everyone but Thor.
That night, Loki was almost asleep, his back to Sigyn, when he felt her soft hands tracing along his spine. He sighed and rolled over. "What will you do if he turns out like Vali?" she asked quietly. Loki took her chin in his hand and looked her in the eyes.
"Whether it's a he or a she, I will love them. They will be my child and yours. I think that here on earth, I'll be able to be a better father than I could ever have been on Asgard. Less pomp and more family. Yes. Raising our child here will be perfect," Loki told her before he kissed her. After that, they fell asleep in each other's arms.
