Happy Birthday!: Part 1

"You want us to do what?" Clint asked Sigyn in disbelief. Bruce nudged him with his elbow and chuckled.

"Relax! It's not a completely impossible mission. Is it?" he queried. Everyone else gave Bruce a look, and he hunched over a little bit, adjusting his glasses.

"It's only impossible if you give him any indication that you're lying. Being the God of Lies, Loki can spot a liar a mile away," Sigyn said.

"I don't know. I suckered him that one time," Natasha said with a smirk.

"Well then, why don't we have Natasha deal with him, and the rest of us will get things ready?" Steve suggested.

"Great!" Tony said. "Operation Birthday Boy is underway!" Everyone split up, leaving Natasha standing there by herself.

"So what? Nobody asked me if I wanted to babysit him?"






Loki jumped away from Natasha just as she tried another crippling kick. "It's almost like you're trying to hurt me," Loki pointed out. Natasha laughed and threw another punch, which he blocked. She came in and their faces were only five inches apart.

"Are you scared that your ass is going to get beat by a puny mortal?" she asked right before she brought her knee up. Loki stopped it and teleported away from her.

"I'd like to have more kids if you don't mind," he remarked dryly.

"You and Sigyn talking about it?" Natasha asked suddenly stopping. Loki nodded his head and walked over to her. "Even after what happened last time?" Natasha queried. Loki heard the concern in her voice and nodded.

"I would not make the same mistake again. If my future son or daughter is as powerful as me, I'll have to accept that. Now, where is everybody?" Natasha stiffened.
