"Guys! Not in my house!" Tony shouted, but there was no need. Loki teleported himself outside and the Hulk joined him soon after. Loki just dodged him and the Hulk fell to the ground below. Hovering twenty storeys in the air, Loki wiped his forehead, but that was when a trash can came hurtling up from beneath, and hit him in the back. The impact sent Loki flying back into the tower. When he picked himself up, he turned and saw the Hulk jumping up to meet him.
"You want to fight, you green freak?! Fine! I'll fight!" Loki said as he leapt out the window to meet him. Their collision, shattered the glass for several floors.
"Shit! It's just a shirt!" Clint said as they watched the fight.
"It wasn't just a shirt. It was the last thing Loki's wife made for him," Thor said.
"What? Before the divorce?" Natasha asked. Thor's face darkened visibly, and she immediately regretted what she just said.
"No. Before she was murdered." All the Avengers stiffened. Steve sighed, and went to the window.
"Hulk! You owe Loki an apology. Stop the fight now!" he called down. Both Loki and Hulk stopped their row and looked up. Loki had just wrapped himself around Hulk's neck as he was trying to squeeze. The Hulk grunted, and pulled him off roughly.
"Sorry for stealing your stupid shirt. I was going to ask," the Hulk said. Loki, wiping his bleeding lip, nodded assent. When he turned to walk back into the tower, Hulk gave him a fist bump from behind, and sent him flying into the front doors. Now that they knew the two of them were not going to tear up New York City, Thor turned to face the other Avengers.
"Loki would be very upset of he heard I shared such personal information with you. Don't say a word."
"Alright, but one more question. What happened to her?" Tony asked. Steve shot him a look when Thor bowed his head.
"I was supposed to protect her, and I failed."
