Despite the day's events, conversation at the dinner table was relatively normal. Those that had not been harmed by Loki's mischief, chuckled over it. Natasha almost died laughing when she heard about Clint's polished nails and the high heeled shoes. Loki simply smirked as they chuckled over the 'irony' of Tony's socks. "What's with you and feet? Got a fetish?" Steve asked. Loki shrugged as he spiked ravioli on his fork, and popped it into his mouth.
"I was just having a bit of fun," Clint said, in a fake dejected voice. Everyone laughed and that was when Tony noticed something.
"Hey, where's Bruce? Did somebody forget to drag him out of his lab?"
"Don't look at me, I did it last time," Clint said quickly. Tony raised an eyebrow and was about to stand, but Thor had beaten him to it.
"I'll go get our scientific friend. Don't worry. I shall return!" Loki rolled his eyes at Thor's loudness and everyone watched as he disappeared. Everyone else went back to eating, but a few minutes later, they heard Thor entreating Bruce. "Please put that back! No, no! Please! Just the way it was and he won't notice the difference!"
"What? I'm going to ask. Hey Loki! Can I borrow this shirt when I take Betty out on a date?" Bruce came into sight, and everyone saw that he was wearing a green shirt with black and gold embroidery. "She likes this stuff," Bruce finished. Loki dropped his fork, and his facial muscles tightened. He stood up slowly, his lip quivering.
"Get out of that shirt! You idiot! Do you have any idea what you're wearing?!"
Bruce frowned, looked at the shirt again and said, "Asgard's best dry cleaning?"
Loki came running over, and that was when the shirt disappeared from Bruce's back. His mouth dropped open, right before Loki's fist connected with his jaw. "Don't touch my stuff!!! Not now, not ever!" The Avengers gasped. In that moment, Loki realized what he had done. Bruce was slowly turning green and growing! "Oh shit!" Loki said emphatically.
