It as the wee hours of the morning. Loki quietly pulled his boots on, and made sure that he had an array of knives to choose from. He pulled a black cloak on and put the hood up. Nothing stirred in the tower, but Loki knew that Jarvis would probably see him the moment he set foot in the hallway. With a wave of his hand, Jarvis all of a sudden started experiencing technical difficulties. Loki entered the hallway and looked around. Nobody was in sight. He could hear slight snoring from Thor's room but that was normal. Loki finally sneaked by everyone else and teleported himself outside. From there, he opened his own, undetectable portal and disappeared from earth. When Loki opened his eyes again, he was in a barren valley, with bats, and ravens flying around. "Let's just hope my cover spell will shield me from Hela's gaze," he told himself.

Hela was sleeping in her private chambers, in a cavernous room. There were niches in the walls where candles rested, and gems were dotted about, casting a light of their own. Her hell hound rested next to her in the bed, and a few soul snatchers were also asleep in the room. Loki stepped through the door and glanced about, desperately looking for the one thing he needed the most: the Book of Hel. He soon spotted a dark alcove that was shielded behind a curtain. Loki began to tiptoe through, careful that his cloak did not touch a single soul snatcher. They were very sensitive creatures. As Loki got closer to the hidden alcove, Hela stirred in her bed, and he froze. He chewed on the inside of his lip as he waited for her to stop moving. Hela had cast a spell all over her realm, so that if Loki ever paid her a visit, his magic would be limited. Of course, being Ragnarok, those powers were outside of Hela's control, but Loki despised them. He would never use the destructive power that was sleeping inside of him. Hela finally stopped moving and Loki skipped and jumped the rest of the way to the alcove and stepped inside.

He quickly stopped the curtains from moving, then he turned and beheld the Book of Hel. Inside, was a record of people who had died in the past, who were dying in the present, and who would die in the future. For the past thousand years, Loki had kept his name out if the book, but if he altered the fates of another person, he was running the risk of his name ending up in the book. He reached into a pouch he had at his side and produced a copycat book. As long as Hela did not open it, she would never know the difference. So now, all he had to do, was slip it on while removing the original. If he took the first one off before putting the second one on, Hela would know that someone was stealing from her. The repercussions would be severe.

No pressure, Loki thought to himself.
