When Loki opened up his eyes, the sun was shining in his house. He sat up and realized that he was in his bed. Loki turned sharply and saw Dickens sitting there with Lord Charles Pritchard by his side. Dickens immediately handed him a cup of wine, while Pritchard raised his eyebrow. "Alright, what was that last night? Dickens comes out of your 'sanctum,' sees you, comes to me, and says you have passed out on the floor! What's with that?" Charles asked him. Loki downed the glass of wine before he answered that question.

"Well, that's going to be kind of difficult," Loki said. That was when his eyes widened and he looked quickly at Dickens. "Was there anybody you found with me?!"

"No Master Loki, you were alone when I found you," Dickens told Loki. That was when Charles stood up, picked something off of a chest, and brought it to Loki. It was his scepter!

"Little bit of explaining to do. What is this?" Charles asked Loki, a tone starting to creep into his voice. Loki felt the blood drain from his face. Charles was a true friend to him, but Loki had never told him that he was in fact, a god, and the second son of Odin. That would be hard to explain.

"That, ah, huh, well, um, how do I put this," Loki said, stuttering as he tried to get his thoughts together.

"Start with the fact that this is a weapon and you have it. Also, explain your sanctum," Charles said. Loki straightened up visibly and frowned.

"You looked into my sanctum?"

"I'm asking the questions," Charles said. Dickens stood up and walked away, eager to not get in the middle of a nobleman's fight. Loki narrowed his eyes at Charles, and Charles narrowed his eyes at Loki. The Asgardian finally stood up, looking his friend in the eyes.

"I am Loki, second son of Odin, Prince of Asgard and God of Mischief! Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a vengeful psychopath to wrangle!"
