Loki sat down and started to open the Book of Hel. He was taking a chance by looking at it right there, but he had to see. He had to know if what Amora had told him was true. As he flipped through, he saw a whole chapter called "The Battle of the Nine Realm Paradox." Loki was horrified by all the death written there. All the innocents who would die on Midgard as he and Amora's master fought for the child. That was when he saw the deaths of his friends: Thor, Steve, Tony, Clint, Natasha, and Bruce. They would all die trying to save Loki's son from the darkness. Loki felt tears pricking his eyes and he brushed them away.
That was when he heard the howls and cries of the soul snatchers as they searched for him. Loki pocketed the book and stood up, pulling his hood over his head. He carefully exited the cave and looked around. The soul snatchers were all running in another direction, but Loki knew it would not take them long to start searching for him there. He broke away from the shelter of the caves, and weaved his way through a labyrinth of jagged rocks. His feet did not make a sound, and Loki was almost home free, when a hell hound jumped down from the cliff above his head. Loki looked up and rolled away, just barely avoiding getting pounced on. The creature growled at him, and Loki drew one of his knives. Brandishing it, he waited for the hound to make his first move. The beast circled Loki, waiting for him to lower his guard, but Loki was always vigilant. Finally, the doglike animal leapt at Loki, and the god threw his knife at it. The hound hit the dirt and slid a few feet behind Loki, the knife buried in its head. Loki caused the blade to melt. All his weapons at his symbol on it, so, he was not keen on leaving evidence.
Loki kept running through the maze, anxious to get out onto open ground so he could get himself the hell out of there! (Pun intended) Finally, Loki broke free, and was out in a wide open space. However, that was when a flood of ravens began to pursue him. Loki glanced over his shoulder and saw the cloud of murderous creatures fast approaching. Loki turned around and focused all his power on teleporting himself back to Midgard. When he looked up, he saw Hela. "Stop thief!" she exclaimed. Instead of listening, Loki teleported himself away from her. Hela tried to follow his magical trail, but Loki led her in a long loop through other realms. She finally had to give up.
Loki reappeared outside Stark Tower, out of breath, and his heart beating a mile a minute. Hey, it's very exhausting when you teleport through seven other realms in rapid succession. He sat down on the sidewalk and exhaled loudly. He had made it!
