Loki turned and saw several guards approaching. He drew his daggers and waited till they were close. His wedding band was starting to glow brighter purple. The closer he got to Sigyn's body with her soul, the brighter it would become. "Soon my love, you will be whole again," Loki whispered, right before he started taking out Asgardian soldiers.
"How could this have happened?! Why is he back in Asgard without my authority?!" Odin asked Heimdall. The Guardian was about to respond when suddenly Thor appeared with the Avengers. "What are you doing back?" Odin queried, fixing Thor with his one-eyed stare.
"Loki has returned Father, as you well know. But, he's not here to fight. He's got Sigyn's soul!" Thor said. Odin's eyebrow went up and Heimdall frowned.
"He made a deal with me for that!" Odin said between clenched teeth.
"Well, apparently when he 'died,' he made another with Hela. He's already got Sigyn's soul, and he's not waiting any longer," Tony said from within the Iron Man suit.
Odin growled but Thor caught his arm and made him look at him. "He wants her back, Father. Let him! Her death and the betrayal of Vali was what turned him down the wrong path in the first place! Let him have his happiness once again," Thor pleaded. Odin glared at his oldest son, but then he saw the expressions on the faces of the Avengers. Not that he cared what they thought, but if he decided against Loki, they would not be very happy.
"You do not make a bargain with the All-Father and then break it. Loki will still be punished, but he will be allowed to have his wife. Heimdall, inform the guards that Loki is permitted to reach Sigyn's tomb," Odin told the Guardian. Heimdall bowed and left. Thor and the Avengers looked immensely relieved and they followed Odin to where she was buried.
Loki flipped a guard over his back before he straightened up. Ahead of him, was the golden casket, covered in pure white flowers. And inside it, was the beautiful body of Sigyn, the Wife of Mischief!
