So when I hit the ground, tinukod ko yung kamay ko and nasugatan ako. I then realized that it's bleeding.
"Patty! Are you okay?!"sabi ni Keifer.
"Yeah I'm okay."sabi ko habang tumatayo.
"I'm not sure if I'm worried about you or that Agnes will kill us both."sagot ni Jam. Natatawa ako kasi namumutla silang dalawa ni Keifer.
"Don't worry, Agnes would not even notice this."
"But we need to get back and let's have your wound cleaned up."sabi ni Keifer. Tumango lang ako.
"Guys, it's just a scratch. I'm fine."sabi ko.
"Pat you're bleeding. How can you be fine?"
"It's part of growing up and learning. It's okay Keif. But thank you guys. Nag-enjoy ako."
"Well, yeah I know it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt."sabi ni Jam.
"Guess I just have to brace myself then, for what Agnes will have to say."dagdag ni Keifer.
"Don't be so scared of Agnes."
"Seriously Pat, di mo ba siya narinig kanina? She's scary. She's very VERY scary."sabi ni Jam.
"Don't worry. I have her under control."sagot ko sa kanila tapos naglakad na kami pabalik.
"O andito na pala sila eh. Change clothes muna guys then we'll start."sabi ni Migs. Tumango lang kami. Nag-attempt si Keifer na kunin yung first aid kit pero biglang nagsalita si Migs.
"O, bakit? Nasugatan ka?"sabi ni Migs kay Keifer. Nakita ko na namutla si Keifer.
"Ah... no. No. Uh... I... alcohol lang. I'm just looking for alcohol to clean up."sabi ni Keifer.
"May alcohol ako dito."sabi ni Paolo.
"Ah. Cool. Cool. Sige."sabi ni Keifer tapos lumapit siya kay Paolo.
Nararamdaman ko na dumudugo pa rin yung kamay ko kaya nagmadali na lang akong pumunta ng cr at hinugasan. When the water came in contact with my wound, naramdaman ko yung sobrang hapdi but I stopped myself from screaming.
Pagbalik ko, nakapwesto na silang lahat and ako lang inaantay nila. When I started playing, naramdaman ko na sumasakit pa rin yung kamay ko and I tried to keep my face neutral. Nakaka-ilang rounds na kami sa pagtugtog when Agnes suddenly spoke.
"Wait guys. 5 minutes."sabi niya.
"Ah sige. Water break muna."sabi ni Migs. I checked my wound and nakita ko na nagsisimula nanaman siyang dumugo. I guess malalim pala yung sugat.
"Keifer."sabi niya.
"Yes?"
"Get the first aid kit."sabi ni Agnes.
"Wait Agnes, let me explain. Look we--" Agnes just raised her hand and signalled Keifer to stop.
"First aid."ulit ni Agnes.
"Yes. Yes. First aid."natatarantang sagot ni Keifer tapos nagmamadali nyang kinuha yung first aid kit. Alam niya na kaya?
"Pat."sabi ni Agnes. Nagmamadali kong tinago yung kamay ko habang papalapit siya sa 'kin.
"Hm?"
"Give me your hand."sabi niya.
"Ha? Why?"
"Give me your hand."
"Why?"
"Patricia, I said give me your hand."she replied sternly. Okay, she is scary. Agnes was not even raising her voice but I wanted to hide. Nilabas ko yung kamay ko at binigay ko sa kanya.
"How did you know?"tanong ko sa kanya.
"Napano 'to?"
"Wala."sabi ko. Bigla niyang pinisil yung kamay ko.
"Ow! Ow! OKAY! OKAY! FINE! I FELL FROM THE BOARD!"
Nagulat ako when she took the first aid at nilagyan niya ng gamot and she suddenly raised my hand close to her lips. Hindi ko alam anong gagawin niya, but then hinipan niya lang din para madali matuyo yung gamot. Sa sobrang gulat ko sa nangyari, hindi ako nakapagreact agad and when I realized what was happening, I pulled back my hand.
"I... I can do this. Ako na lang. Thank you."sabi ko sa kanya. Naramdaman ko na uminit yung mukha ko sa ginawa ni Agnes.
"Does it hurt? Can you play?"
"I can play. Don't worry."sabi ko sa kanya.
"You can play eh kanina ka pa mukhang nasasaktan."
"I can play. Makirot but I can manage."
"Keifer!"biglang tawag ni Agnes and I jumped. "Anong sinabi ko sa inyong dal--"she added at bago pa siya makalingon kela Keifer I held her face and turned her head to face me.
"It's not their fault."I blurted out habang hawak ko yung cheeks niya with my hand underneath her chin to make sure na di siya makakalingon. Sobra siyang namumula and I can tell na galit siya. I held her face in position so that she's looking directly at me.
"Not their fault Agnes. They were protecting me pero ano... nadulas kasi ako. Don't get mad at them."sabi ko sa kanya while I'm trying to catch her eyes. And when she finally decided to look at me, hindi ko alam pero the reaction was instantaneous and I feel as if napaso ako sa mga tingin niya. I let go of her face in surrender.
"Anong sinabi ko sa inyong dalawa?"
"Make sure she doesn't get hurt."sabi ni Jam. Namumutla pa rin sila ni Keifer.
"And?"
"She got hurt. Agnes we're really sorry!"sabi ni Keifer.
"I don't even want to talk about what happened. I told you specifically to make sure she doesn't get hurt, and yet..."she paused.
"You're not riding a board again Patricia."sabi ni Agnes.
"What?! No!" I protested.
"Unless you have protective gear then you're not riding the board again."sabi niya tapos tumingin siya ulit sa 'kin. Her stares are definitely burning me alive and looking at it now felt as if I'm looking directly into the sun.
"Okay."sabi ko. "Fine."
"Clear? Sa inyong lahat?"sabi ni Agnes sa 'min nila Keifer.
"Okay, okay. Protective gear next time."sabi nilang dalawa.
God, she is scary. What am I marrying into?
