I still don't know why I agreed, but I stood up. I hope Agnes doesn't notice how sweaty my hands are. Agnes just carefully placed her hand on my waist as my hand rested on her shoulder while holding each other's hand with the other one. Nung una we were facing each other but I can't stand her stares kaya I just moved closer to her until I can rest my cheeks on her shoulder. Agnes smelled nice. I felt Agnes's head resting in mine. We were close enough na it seems as if we were hugging each other.

Ikaw at ako, pinag-isa. Tayong dalawa may kanya-kanya, sa isa't isa tayo ay sumasandal.

We were literally just dancing a very weird dance na walang step, we were just moving side-to-side and basically just holding each other in place. Nakakatawa pa kasi feeling ko off-timing yung sayaw naming dalawa. Paano niya naisip na sayawan 'tong kanta na 'to? So I'm just letting Agnes lead the dance. We were just slow dancing with each other, if I am to describe it, it would be close to being romantic, pero this is dancing with Agnes, and everything with Agnes is not romantic. But I can feel a certain feeling of calmness and nervousness at the same time as we were dancing. I closed my eyes and I just intently listened to the song. I realized how loud my heart was beating and I wondered if Agnes can feel it at this distance.

Kung minsan ay hindi ko nababanggit. Pag-ibig ko'y di masukat ng anumang lambing at kung magkamali akong ika'y saktan, puso mo ba'y handang magpatawad?

We finally found our pace pero hindi ko alam kung bakit but I managed to step a little backwards as I almost tripped so when I stepped back from our almost hug, bigla kaming nagkatinginan and we managed to catch each other's gaze. She was smiling. Hindi ko alam if it's just the music or if it's Agnes's unblinking eyes that has managed to trap me there.

Di ko alam ang gagawin kung mawala ka.

I've never seen her eyes this close. I guess cause I never really paid too much attention to it when we were this close. Her very round brown eyes which were magnified by her thinly-rimmed glasses, were looking like gold because of the light coming in from the window. Her eyes, I noticed just now, were beautiful.

I don't know if it's because of the music or her gaze but I seem to have forgotten where I am and I've basically lost all concept of time and space. I think I paid too much attention to her gaze, I've long forgotten that the music has long stopped playing yet here we are still slow dancing to a song that we are not listening to anymore.

Agnes was staring at me and my eyes fell on her lips. For some reason, I felt the gap between our faces slowly closing in. I can feel this pounding in my chest.

Then I realized,

Shet.
