At dahil Sunday ngayon, lumabas lang kami ni Papa para magsimba nung umaga. Gusto sana umikot nila Jesse but I'm too tired to go out. Ewan ko, I guess the cold weather is not something I fully enjoy. Maghapon na nga akong sinisipon. And since I didn't want them to worry about me or to drag them while they were going around, nagsabi ako na magstay na lang ako sa hotel. I just made an excuse na may kailangan lang akong irevise for the client. Hindi naman na nagreklamo parents ko dahil naiintindihan naman daw nila. When I checked my phone nakita ko na may message si Agnes. To be honest, I haven't been replying to her messages since that call that I made. Pero nakakapag-usap kami sa email about work.
Si Charlie, everyday din siyang nagmemessage sa 'kin but laging baliktad yung oras kaya hindi kami nag-aabot. Ewan ko. Sabi ni Nicole I should take this time off to just rest, pero dahil nagmemessage pa rin silang dalawa, parang litong-lito pa rin ako. But maybe she's right. Wala namang need for me to choose.
But now that I'm here, iniimagine ko what would life be if I am dating Charlie. Morning person din si Charlie so most likely, tulog na nga siya kapag late dito. Ang hirap na nga ng LDR, mahirap pa lalo dahil sa timezone difference na 'to. Magtatagal din kaya kami? Knowing na I will be very busy with the company and the band. But I guess, she would understand kasi she's not very intrusive naman and I don't see her as the jealous type. At dahil sobrang focuses ko sa pag-iisip, bigla akong nagulat nung nagring yung phone ko at nakita ko na tumatawag si Agnes.
"Hello?"
'You weren't replying. I got worried.' sabi niya.
"Bakit gising ka pa? Late na dyan ah."
'Hindi mo ba narinig sinabi ko? How can I sleep when I'm getting worried about you? Hindi mo ako sinabihan kung kumusta ka today.'
"Ang clingy mo naman."
'I didn't have to be clingy kung nag-update ka.'
"Alam mo pakonti-konti sumusungit ka na rin."pang-aasar ko sa kanya.
'I'm just worried. Yun lang.' sabi niya. 'Anyway, are you okay? You sound sick.'
"Usual sipon lang. Ang lamig kasi dito."
'Drink water and meds wifey. Hindi ka pwedeng magkasakit when you're away.'
"At bakit naman?"
'Eh how can I take care of you, eh malayo ka? '
Naramdaman kong uminit yung mga pisngi ko sa sinabi ni Agnes. Puyat nanaman siguro to o baka may sakit nga talaga ako.
"Well, I am resting. I stayed here in the hotel habang nag-iikot sila Jesse."
'So mag-isa ka dyan? Aren't you lonely? '
"Nah. Di naman."
'What are you planning to do today then? '
"Wala. Baka matulog or maybe I'll go watch a movie na lang while waiting for them. Then we'll have dinner later."
'Samahan kita. Let's watch a movie.'
"Paano naman?"
'Video call. Wait. I'll go set it up.' sabi ni Agnes. Napangiti na lang ako. Ano nanaman bang naisipan niya?
Narinig ko lang na may kumakaluskos on the other end tapos narinig ko na may nag-open ng TV. Maya maya nagnotify na sa phone ko na kailangan kong buksan yung video ko so I did. Pagtingin ko, nakita ko rin si Agnes. Nakapangtulog siya and I had to smile kasi she looked nice. Bagay pala sa kanya nakapantulog.
'There. Kita mo na yung TV? ' sabi niya as she switched the camera view.
"Yes. Go choose the movie."sabi ko sa kanya.
Maya maya lang nagplay na siya nung movie. Natatawa na lang ako sa reaction ni Agnes na naririnig ko sa background. How can she still stay awake at this time? Nung matatapos na yung movie, napansin ko sa oras dun sa TV na halos 3 am na pala kay Agnes.
"Aji."
'Hm? '
"You should sleep already after the movie. Late na dyan. Pabalik na rin naman sila Papa."sabi ko sa kanya.
'Okay.' sabi niya.
Nung natapos yung movie, narinig ko na inayos ni Agnes yung mga gamit niya and pinatay niya na yung TV then she switched the camera back. Napansin ko na nasa sofa pala siya natutulog.
"Bakit dyan ka natutulog? Dapat dun ka na sa bed."
'Ayoko. The bed feels too big for me.'
"Paanong naging too big eh I barely fit."
'It just feels empty.' sabi niya. There was then this silence between us and I just looked at Agnes as she laid down sa sofa.
'I miss you wifey.' she said quietly. Those words hit differently tonight and hindi ko maexplain kung bakit. But those words, made me feel soft.
"Nakakaasar ka naman eh. You're making me soft."sabi ko sa kanya. She let out a chuckle.
"Matulog ka na. Baka puyat ka lang. I'll talk to you later na lang or tomorrow."sabi ko sa kanya. Tumango lang siya.
'Goodnight wifey.'
"Good morning Aji."
Siguro nakaidlip ako cause the next thing I knew, ginigising na ako ni Bea kasi kailangan na daw namin lumabas for dinner. When I checked my socials, nagulat ako kasi ang daming notifs. Pagcheck ko, nakita ko na may mga mentions ako sa Twitter and sa IG. When I opened it, nakita ko na it was a screenshot of our video call, but Agnes placed a sticker over my face but I smiled over the caption:
