Gusto kong tumalon sa sobrang saya ko kasi pangarap ko talaga magkaro'n ng marimba. It was my favorite instrument pero napakamahal din kasi talaga kaya hindi ako makabili.
"Naaalala ko kasi na sabi mo ultimate dream mo was to have your own marimba kaya ayan. I'm not entirely sure kung magaga--"
Niyakap ko si Agnes and I guess she was surprised cause she stopped midsentence. How can she be very annoying and thoughtful at the same time? I hugged her tighter. Naramdaman kong yumakap din siya in return.
"Thank you Aji."sabi ko sa kanya and I smiled right at her. Bumitaw na ako sa kanya at tiningnan ko ulit yung marimba.
"Grabe, but this is super expensive." I frowned.
"Don't think about it."sagot niya.
Saan naman kaya siya kumuha ng ganon kalaking pera? I mean, yes we earn a lot from the band work and from our normal day job, pero malaking pera pa rin ang kailangan niya.
"Play for me?"sabi niya sa 'kin. Tumango ako. I'm not entirely sure how to, pero nag-agree pa rin ako.
Nagtry akong kapain ng konti, I have tried playing it before nung college kaya sobrang minahal ko yung instrument and I think my muscle memory stills remember how to do it. Agnes just sat by the bed and waited for me to play something.
"Is it okay if I lie down wifey? But makikinig ako promise."sabi niya kaya napangiti na lang ako.
"Okay lang. You can also sleep if you're tired. I just want to try this out."sabi ko sa kanya. She just nodded and humiga na siya.
I played her a song. Naisip ko na Tulog Na yung tugtugin para sa kanya. I saw Agnes smile but she had her eyes closed. Siguro nga pagod siya. Mukhang nakatulog na si Agnes.
"That was nice."sabi niya nagulat tuloy ako.
"I thought you were sleeping already." Umiling siya pero nakapikit pa rin siya. I stopped playing at tumabi na ako sa kanya.
"Aji, thank you ulit. You didn't have to get me anything naman but you still did."sabi ko sa kanya.
"May kapalit yan 'no."sabi niya.
"Ano?"
I felt her move and she turned to face me kaya humarap din ako sa kanya.
"Always be happy."
