Chapter 110 - Gambling Man

Hopefully this one doesn't really surprise you.  It shouldn't at this point, if you know my writing style.  And to me it was long over due.

But as always, if you don't want to read it, you don't have to.  Just look for the ******Start****** on when to start to skip over it.  Then you can return when you see the ******Stop******.  Now this is towards the end of the chapter, so your going to want to read the rest of it or you will be total lost in the next chapter.  But if you skip the sex scene, it won't mess you up.  I promise.  But it is still a good one. ;)

So without further ado.

You couldn't help but to nervously smile as you sat next to Chris as the boat smoothly made its way through the waterways.  You knew that he was probable going to be there because of the trial and all.  But you never expected to see him on the first night. And certainly not at Maagho's.

"So I take it that they let you off the ship for the trial then?"  You quietly asked as you dropped your gaze to your hands.

"Well sort of."  Chris said as he looked at you.  "They let us off the ship whenever we're in port.  But because of the trial, the ship has to stay in port until its over."

"Really?"  You asked as you gave him a surprised look.  "And why is that?"

"You know, for a kid, you are really smart."  Chris said with a warm smile.  "But it's times like now, that I'm reminded of just how little you really know about the real world." 

"Huh?"  You replied as you gave him a hurt look.

Chris then reached over and moved your hair behind your ear as he continued.  "You and I weren't the only ones involved with him after all.  Almost the entire crew of the ship had witness something that he had done with you.  Then there are several that will be called in as character witnesses.  Plus all of the officers were served to appear in court as to their part in the whole situation."

You sat there stunned as you listened to him.  Almost the entire crew?  Is he for real?

"As it turns out, almost every person had had some type of interaction with you while you were onboard."  Chris said as he searched your face as he slowly dropped his hand back down again.  "And all of them seemed to really like you and were rather upset that he had hurt you."

"They were?"  You quietly asked as you stared at him.

"And here we are."  The driver suddenly said as he brought the boat up to a small cafe that was down by the water.  "Just on up the stairs and you'll be back at the estate." 

"Tha...thank you."  You stuttered as you slowly looked at the driver as Chris stood up.

"Thank you."  Chris said to the driver and handed him some cash for the ride.

Then he smiled as he held out his hand to you.  "Ready?"

You couldn't help but to smile at him.  He was total different now then when you had first meet him.  He had been cold and almost off-putting towards you.  And a lot of the time he had been very frustrating for you.

But now as he stood there smiling at you, you were reminded of the other side of him that seem to make you weak in the knees.  Sure you had Ignis and would never cheat on him with anyone.  But you couldn't help but to wonder what it would be like if you weren't with Ignis and even perhaps a few years older.  Would you get to see more of this side?

"Yeah."  You replied with a slight smile as you reached up and took his hand.  "Yeah, I'm ready."

Chris almost beamed back as if he was thinking the same thing as you, as he helped you stand up.  "Then let's go."
