sixty three: out loud

"spence," you said aloud as you were reading over a book page. he looked over at you, raising his eyebrows as he responded.

"yes?" he asked sweetly.

you looked over at him, confused.

"what?"

"you said my name," he responded, leaning back in his chair as you furrowed your eyebrows.

"i did?"

he nodded, looking down at his watch before getting up and walking towards you where he pressed a kiss to the side of your head.

"i love you too," he replied as you smiled to yourself as he walked away and towards the conference room.
