🏰SEAN🏰
We started assembling outside. In line, we're next to Camp Bell so we must be early. Drum and Lyre band started to make some noise. They blew their trumpets as well as the saxophone. They hit their drums and lyres. Majorettes and Flag bearers made a move.
Our float is ready. It is filled with green leaves and trees. It looks like a jungle with a red lion in front of it. The lion is furious, ready to fight against his foes.
We're the king of the jungle!
Our representatives for Mr. and Ms. Sports Fest were on the float. I don't know the guy, but he's familiar. I have seen him too many times, but I never had a chance to mingle with him. He's wearing his jersey 'cause he's a baseball player.
The girl? I know her. She's one of my flings. I forgot her name already 'cause she's easy to forget. She's not that pretty but she got the body that can bring the heat in a man's body. She's sexy, but she's not my type. She's a badminton player, by the way.
"Sean," tawag sa akin si Ace.
"What?"
"Smile," he commanded. He's holding a camera so for sure, pipicture-an niya ako. I smiled nonchalantly. "Tatag kita?"
"It's up to you."
"Nasaan 'yung MAPAPANG-ASAWA mo?" He smiled devilishly.
"In hell?" Pabirong sagot ko. We laughed.
"Hindi nga, nasaan nga?"
"In KU's line," I answered. "She's a wolf, remember."
"I see," kumamot siya sa ulo bago lumapit. "Pero hindi ba delikado para sa kaniya ang sumama rito? I mean, malayo ang lalakarin right? She's pregnant, baka makasama sa baby."
"Morning naman," napaisip din ako kahit papaano. "Exercise din."
"Sabagay, pero ang daming tao baka mapaano 'yon. Dito mo na lang siya papilahin."
He has a point. Students like me, were obstreperous, wild and sometimes out of their minds amidst the Sports Fest. We don't care about others. 'Cause for us, rules are just petty words.
Rules are made to be broken...
Just like promises...
"Can you please carry this for a minute." Pinakita ko sa kaniya ang backpack. "I'm gonna pick up Mina there." Tinuro ko 'yung dulo.
"Okay," he carried my bag on his left shoulder. "This is the reason why people have two shoulders, to carry two backpacks." We chuckled.
"Thank you Mr. Photographer."
"You're welcome Daddy," he answered.
"F*ck you Mr. Photographer."
"Oh f*ck you too Daddy." He pushed me away. "Go, pick up Mommy."
"I will, you don't have to say it 'cause I'll do it." I smirked.
"W-wait," he stopped me. "I'm coming with you. Gusto ko lang makita si Sydney. Namimiss ko na siya."
