Hi everyone! Silent reader po ako sa group na to and may nabasa akong post about gayuma or love spell. Here's a story I've heard from a friend na nangyare sa brother nya about 5 years ago.

Yung brother ng friend ko is a med rep in a known pharma company. May position na rin. In his mid 30s, young professional, active social life, and he has a long time girlfriend too. He is an area manager and was assigned to cover a province in Southern Luzon. Si friend's brother is good looking. Given na nasa sales sila, always presentable and clean tingnan as part of his job. Marunong sa fashion, updated din sa gadgets. Together with his counterpart, they will cover the area at least 10-15 days per month. They'd stay in a bed and breakfast and meron na silang place don na regular na pinag-sstayan. Meron na rin silang mga local restaurants and Karinderya na kinakainan regularly. For 1 year ganyan ang route nya. During his stay sa province, may mga local na rin sha na naging kaibigan, kainuman, kakwentuhan like yung driver ng tricycle service nya, yung owner and staff ng bed & breakfast and some karinderyas.

Don sa isang karinderya na regular na kinakainan nila, merong mag-ina na nagwowork don who is very fond of him (based sa story nung counterpart nya). Yung mother is around 50s and the daughter is mid 20s. Very friendly kasi si friend's brother. Lagi daw nakikipagbiruan, at nagbibigay din ng mga tips and sometimes pasalubong galing Manila. He is always like that sa mga local na friend nya sa province hindi lang naman dto sa mag ina na to. Pakikisama kumbaga. Little did he know, may crush na pala sknya yung daughter hanggang sa nainlove na. According sa counterpart ni friend's brother, hindi naman nirereciprocate yung feelings pero naging civil at friendly lang sha don sa daughter. Naikkwento ni friend's brother ung mga messages sknya nung girl na nagcoconfess ng feelings. He would always turn her down nicely saying na bata pa sha and will meet someone else na para sknya kasi nga may GF na sha sa Manila. Kahit ganun yung situation kumakain pa rin sila don sa karinderya na yon kasi ayaw ni friend's brother ng awkwardness dahil mabait ung may ari and yung mother ni girl.

One day, babalik na dapat si friend's brother and counterpart nya sa Manila. Tapos na yung coverage nila sa province for the month. It's very unusual na biglang hindi daw sasabay pauwi si friend's brother. Pinauna na nya si counterpart kasi may kailangan pa daw siya gawin bukas pero luluwas din agad. So umuwi na si counterpart. After ilang araw, nakareceive sila ng message from friend's brother that he is resigning from his position and has decided to permanently live in the province. May ipon siya, and will just start a business. Gusto na daw nya don kasi mas peaceful and don siya masaya. He broke it off with his long time girlfriend too. Called his family about his decision and asked for their full support.

The conversation between my friend's brother and the family is very normal that they supported his decision. They did not sense right away that something is wrong. Although they think it's a little unusual, they just thought he's probably tired of the corporate world and wanted to have a break. They even planned to go visit him once he is already stable and have moved in a rented house. Things between him and his family and their communication were okay hanggang sa day by day paunti na ng paunti ung mga replies. Soon enough, his facebook was deactivated and the other social media accounts followed. He's been quiet. Hindi sha nagprovide ng address where they can visit him but his mobile number is the only thing that was left active. Paminsan minsan magtetext saying he's okay and happy and mangangamusta sa kanila. He asked his family not to worry when he don't reply kasi mahirap ang signal. That went on for about 6 months.

6 months after... Nakareceive ng call yung friend ko sa landline nila. It was his brother, asking for help. He sounded so lost and scared and nagpapasundo sa terminal ng bus sa Pasay. So she went to get his brother and to her suprise, mukha ng ermitanyo yung kuya niya. Long frizzy hair, unshaved, sunburnt, wearing a ragged shirt and faded maong shorts and a rubber slippers. Totally the opposite of how he was.

According to him, namulatan nalang niya that he is in a small fishing boat holding a fishing net at na sa gitna ng laot. Gulong gulo siya kung nasan siya but acted normal as how he was para hindi maghinala yung family ni girl na natatauhan na siya kasi kasama nya sa bangka yung brother and father. From Med Rep to mangingisda in an instant! Last he remembers is kausap nya c karinderya girl and the mother. Sila ang nagserve ng meal nya the day before he was supposed to go back to Manila. He only has flashbacks of what his life had been for the past 6 months. The mother and the girl lured him to go this remote island, tawid dagat from the city province where usually stays. Then all he remembers is that he did have a relationship with the girl, asawa daw nya yon and wanted to stay with her and live a simple life in the island. Mangingisda siya and magtitinda cla ng isda sa bayan. He said he remembered na binenta nila yung phone niya para makabili ng bangka, all his other gadgets and things too. Paano siya nakabalik ng Manila? The moment na natauhan siya, nagyaya na siya bumalik sa bahay nila. Nagpaalam siya sa "asawa" niya pupunta lang sa bayan kasi may bibilhin. But he went to the port at sumakay daw sya ng bangka pabalik sa city province. Nagpalakad lakad daw siya don hanggang sa makita siya nung tricycle driver friend at dali dali daw siya sinakay sa tricycle, hinatid sa terminal at isinakay sa bus papuntang Manila. Ang sabi lang daw ni tricycle driver, "umuwi ka na sa pamilya mo at kung maaari wag ka na bumalik dto. ang tagal kitang hinanap pre, alam ko nangyare sayo."

According to my friend's brother, he thinks that the girl already knows (the moment na nagpaalam siya na pupunta ng baya), na he's back to his real self and just let him go. Kasi ang sabi lang daw ni girl sknya, "sige alis ka na, mag iingat ka at mahal na mahal na kita".

ps. ayoko po ireveal yung province for safety reasons. Ito po yung mga province na may mga remote islands and pangingisda ang kabuhayan nila.
