MARIA'S POV

I Carefully juggle the grocery bags on my arm as I unlock the door, I quickly rush inside to make sure I don't drop anything. With everything on the kitchen counter, I start to unpack, putting everything away in the fridge and the cupboards. When I was done I notice that my boyfriend Y/N hasn't greeted me yet, usually, he would always greet me when I get back home.

Maria: "Hmm maybe he's sleeping or working" I mutter to myself.

Can I get a little more time?

I need to unravel my lines

Oh I'll stay frozen in one place

Wake me up when it's okay

I go through the hall to the bedroom, I enter slowly so as to not potentially wake him. But when I entered I didn't see him, the bed was still neatly made from this morning. This means that he has to be in the study that we had just recently set up for him, if he is working again I'm gonna drag him out there!

Just recently I told him that he should take a break as he's overworking himself, after that Y/N eased up. Hopefully, he didn't regress to his overworking ways, if he did I will have to change the locks to the study.

Annoyed but more so concerned I make my way to the study.

Things get smaller by the day

When I reach the study I knock on the door before opening it slowly in case he was in a digital meeting on his computer, but when I entered I was once again greeted by pure nothingness. He wasn't there and everything including the lights was off, there was a bit of chaos though on his desk and shelves.

Deciding to make life easier I step into the room and close the door behind me as I turn the lights on. I start gathering the papers on his desk and get them ordered after date and type, that'll speed up his work next time he gets to it. After that, I go to his shelves and put the papers in the messy pile on it into the right folders.

Feeling satisfied that I've restored order to all the papers I look around the study to see if there was anything else that needed doing, seeing nothing else that needed doing I decided to leave and look for Y/N elsewhere.

I had almost left the room when I remembered something...

Y/N was clearly in need of another shelf here and I had bought him one, seeing as he wasn't in the room right now I could quickly put it together to surprise him with it!

I go to the bedroom and pull out the parts for the shelf from under the bed where I hid them from Y/N, thankfully I also hid a screwdriver with the parts. I quickly transport the parts to the study to get started.
