THIRD PERSON POV

Once again the team of huntresses is walking through the same dark street they have been visiting at every opportunity, they have already gathered a reputation amongst the people living in the area. Eyes without purpose looking on as they make their way to the same house like every other evening. The house was ownerless and nobody wanted to buy it thanks to the rumors and tales surrounding the four women that would visit it almost every night, so it was just left alone instead.

Dust in the hallway outlining the shape of you
Streams of light bridging the endless divide
Without a soul to keep part of you human
You cried out for death and the shadows replied

Their classmates and friends noticed their change in behavior, but their attempts at figuring out the cause were short-lived, fear made them keep their distance from their former friends. They couldn't see what those four did, what made them come back for more each night. Their former homes abandoned as nothing compared to Neon Street, the music of the past called to them, lulled their insanity to sleep.

I am the line that's still holding you
Spellbound to pull you through
Life's breath will lure you to the light
Reanimate all my vivid dreams
Come true on neon streets
Hearts that weren't meant to beat alive

Their thoughts in a twist, iron focus on only one thing. The others tried to distract them from their happiness, but they don't compare, nothing does. Things were clear with him, clearer than they have been in years, they could see what truly mattered. When they stepped foot into that house their souls would stop hungering for the unreachable, they had clutched the impossible.

Feels like the city stops dead in the wake of you
The resurrection of lights in this system of mine
Synthetic devil, my love turned insanity
Be my immortal, born of my mind

Eyes that lost their light, like a puppet behind closed curtains. With every visit, their souls became more strained, the surroundings outside the house less important. Their attention divided between only that house and a distant stone, unsure of the passage of time. The floor still stained by his essence, once a mind-shattering sight became a daily one.

For so long they held, their grip only growing tighter as their desperation and need grew. The voices of the past all around, every word that reached their ears stoking the fire inside them. it's haunted, haunted with their love, corruption intertwined with loss. They couldn't cling to his soul forever and when it came out of their grasp...they followed...

The soft glow of neon drowns out the moonlight
