"Hey Uncle Clint, are you sure we aren't lost?" Peter asked as the two walked around the mountain. They strayed from the path miles ago thanks to Clint inability to read maps and they were now walking around aimlessly.

"I'm sure we'll get out of here soon, just-" Clint was cut off by some growling and a couple of wolves jumped into the clearing. Clint's eyes widened as he looked at the three big brown wolves. Clint pushed Peter behind him and quickly drew his bow and arrow.

"Stay behind me Pete. I'll protect you." Clint muttered as he drew his arrow back, aiming at the giant wolf. He let go and before he could pull another one, he was amazed to see Peter shoot a web at the arrow. The arrow was stopped a foot away from the wolf and Clint turned to Peter surprised. "Wha-"

"Its okay, we won't hurt you." Peter spoke softly as he stepped forward, toward the wolf. He gave a quick glare to Clint as he stepped slowly to the wolves. The leader stepped forward, growling and his teeth bared.

"Peter, back away from that- what the?" Clint couldn't believe his eyes. Peter was rubbing behind the wolves ear as it purred.

"Can you help us find a way down this mountain?" Peter whispered to the wolf as he stared into its eyes. The wolf, who is now known as a he, nodded his head. He laid down and motioned for Peter to get on with his head. Peter smiled softly and Clint looked confused.

"What are you doing?" Clint asked as he watched his nephew sitting on the back a wild wolf.

"He's going to help us get down the mountain." Peter grinned and Clint nodded slowly. He got on the back of another wolf and they made their way down the mountain. Once they reached the city again, Peter got off along with Clint. Peter smiled and scratched the back of the wolf's ear.

"Thank you." The wolf turned with the other two and disappeared into the forest while Clint stared at Peter in shock.

"Since when can you talk to animals?!" Clint exclaimed and Peter raised an eyebrow.

"I can't." He responded, deadpanning and Clint nearly fell from the child's obliviousness.

"But- you- I-"

"Let's go Uncle Clint, the others are probably wondering where we are. And close your mouth, before it gets stuck like that." Peter started to walk and Clint caught up.

"What took you two so long?" Tony asked as they walked into the tower.

"Uncle Clint got us lost and almost got eaten by a wolf." Peter replied nonchalantly with a shrug of his shoulders. Everyone in the room were surprised, but no one was as surprised as Clint still was.
